Brent crude trading lower at at $82.65/bbl

Crude oil prices on Thursday rose Rs2 to Rs6,558 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. On MCX, crude oil for August delivery traded higher by Rs2 or 0.03 per cent at Rs6,558 per barrel in 7,231 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was down by 0.59 per cent at $79.02 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.66 per cent lower at $82.65 per barrel in New York.
