Brent crude trading higher at $87.93/bbl

Crude oil prices increased Rs 24 to Rs6,904 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for November delivery traded higher by Rs 24 or 0.35 per cent at Rs6,904 per barrel in 6,098 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.34 per cent at $82.59 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.55 per cent higher at $87.93 per barrel in New York.
