Brent crude trading at $95.22/bbl

Crude oil prices on Friday rose Rs6 to Rs7,629 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for October delivery traded higher by Rs6 or 0.08 per cent at Rs7,629 per barrel in 7,571 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.13 per cent at $91.83 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.17 per cent lower at $95.22 per barrel in New York.
