Brent crude trading at $88.17/bbl

Crude oil prices increased Rs8 to Rs6,966 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was down by 0.06 per cent at $83.69 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.11 per cent higher at $88.17 per barrel in New York.

On MCX, crude oil for November delivery traded higher by Rs 8 or 0.11 per cent at Rs 6,966 per barrel in 5,487 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
