Brent crude trading at $88.15/bbl

Crude oil prices rose Rs23 to Rs7,207 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up by 0.02 per cent at $86.40 per barrel, and Brent crude remained flat at $88.15 per barrel in New York.

On MCX, crude oil for October delivery traded higher by Rs23 or 0.32 per cent at Rs7,207 per barrel in 8,375 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
