Brent crude trading at $80.39/bbl

Crude oil futures increased Rs76 to Rs6,350 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up by 1.02 per cent at $76.10 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 1.07 per cent higher at $80.39 per barrel in New York. On MCX, crude oil for November delivery traded higher by Rs76 or 1.21 per cent at Rs6,350 per barrel in 12,402 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
