Anurag varsity student gets Rs. 27L-a-yr package
More than 1,400 students of Anurag University have secured jobs in roughly 150 companies. Seven well-known companies have recruited about 1,000 students.

Hyderabad: More than 1,400 students of Anurag University have secured jobs in roughly 150 companies. Seven well-known companies have recruited about 1,000 students. While 174 students were hired by TCS, 170 by Cognizant, 152 by Accenture, 125 by Infosys, 136 by Capgemini, 103 by HCL and 70 by Wipro. International companies like Amazon, PWC and Adobe have also come to the campus for their recruitment. The highest pay package was Rs 27 lakh a year secured by Rohit Vengala at Amazon, while the second highest was Rs 15.45 lakh a year was bagged by Vasi Reddy Anirudh at VMWare.
The Achiever's Day was organised at the campus. Along with placement achievers, the university has felicitated those who have taken part in co-curricular activities, representing the varsity in national and State level championships and students securing All India ranks in entrance like NIPER. Chief guest on the occasion, Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary Industries & commerce and IT, said: "The city is emerging as an IT hub and the reasons for that are abundant talent pool, technical qualifications and quality education.
The secret to sustaining a job is to learn constantly and grow in the position." Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Founder and Chairman of the varsity told students to keep improving knowledge. "If you have the knowledge, everybody will respect you," he said. "As you are stepping into the real world, there is a challenge every day. All the achievers were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with a certificate for their achievements during 2020-21. The faculty members, who made it happen, have also been awarded the cash prize of Rs 10,000 for helping the varsity to achieve record number of placements.
