In a major development aimed at simplifying investment management, the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) and Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL), in partnership with SEBI, have unveiled a new Unified Investor Platform. This innovative platform merges the functionalities of CDSL's MyEasi and NSDL’s SPEED-e, giving investors a consolidated and secure view of their financial data, including shareholdings, investments, and financial statements.

Launched on February 20, 2025, in Mumbai, the platform is set to streamline the fragmented financial information that investors often face across multiple accounts. With this initiative, investors can now access comprehensive portfolio insights from a single interface, ensuring better transparency and ease of management.

SEBI Chairperson, Madhabi Puri Buch, highlighted that the platform marks a significant shift in empowering retail investors. Historically, tools that provided detailed portfolio insights were exclusive to large institutional investors with dedicated relationship managers. With this new platform, retail investors will now have access to the same level of information, helping them make more informed investment decisions and optimize their portfolios. “It’s not just about market share or profit and loss; it’s about putting the investor at the center of everything,” Puri Buch stated.

Additionally, the platform tackles key issues such as fraud prevention by sourcing data directly from trusted sources like exchanges, depositories, and clearing corporations. This direct access to authentic data reduces the risk of fraud and unauthorized intervention, offering investors a safer, more reliable experience.

This unified approach marks a significant step toward democratizing investing, bringing high-level portfolio management tools to individual investors across the country.
