Tata Capital, the financial services arm of Tata Group, is all set to make its debut in the stock exchanges. The board has given a go-ahead for its initial public offering (IPO) plans. If all things go in sync, this would be the second IPO of the Tata Group in two decades.
Structure
The IPO is a combination of fresh issue, totalling 23 crore equity shares along with an OFS by the existing shareholders. Tata Sons hold 93% stake in the company.
Tata Capital holds majority stake in several businesses including Tata Capital Financial Services, Tata Capital Housing Finance, and Tata Cleantech Capital.
Rights Issue
Prior to its IPO, the board of Tata Capital approved a rights issue worth up to ₹1,504 crore to its existing shareholders.
