In early trading on Saturday, the price of 24-carat gold saw a modest increase of ₹10, with 10 grams of the yellow metal trading at ₹79,480. Meanwhile, silver prices also gained, rising by ₹100 per kilogram, which is now priced at ₹94,100.
Similarly, the price of 22-carat gold rose by ₹10, with 10 grams available for ₹72,860.
The price of 24-carat gold is consistent across major cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad at ₹79,480 per 10 grams. In Delhi, however, it is slightly higher at ₹79,630, while in Bengaluru and Chennai, it is ₹79,480.
For 22-carat gold, the price of 10 grams in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad stands at ₹72,860, while in Delhi, it’s priced at ₹73,010. Bengaluru and Chennai also have 22-carat gold trading at ₹72,860 per 10 grams.
In the global market, gold prices faced downward pressure, with spot gold dropping by 0.8% to $2,684.03 per ounce. This marks a 1.8% decline over the week. Silver also saw a decline of 2.4%, trading at $31.22 per ounce, while other precious metals like platinum and palladium experienced losses.
