Commodity Watch: Zinc Futures Fall Amid Easing Speculation

New Delhi: Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.6 per cent to Rs274.30 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for April delivery traded lower by Rs1.65 or 0.6 per cent at Rs274.30 per kg in 1,093 lots.
Copper futures decline on weak demand
Copper futures fell 0.41 per cent to Rs906.15 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On MCX, copper contracts for April delivery eased by Rs3.75 or 0.41 per cent to Rs906.15 per kg in a business turnover of 5,552 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on low demand
Aluminium prices slipped Rs1.40 to Rs259.20 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in April fell Rs1.40 or 0.54 per cent to Rs259.20 per kg in 1,557 lots.
