Commodity Watch: Zinc Futures Decline On Weak Demand

New Delhi: Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.83 per cent to Rs 262.50 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded lower by Rs 2.20 or 0.83 per cent at Rs 262.50 per kg in 217 lots.
Copper futures dip on negative trend
Copper futures on Thursday slipped 1.3 per cent to Rs 881.65 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery eased by Rs 11.65 or 1.3 per cent to Rs 881.65 per kilogram in a business turnover of 846 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on low bets
Aluminium prices on Thursday decreased Rs 3.15 to Rs 239.95 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May fell Rs 3.15 or 1.3 per cent to Rs 239.95 per kg in 567 lots.
