Commodity Watch: Zinc Futures Decline On Lower Participation

New Delhi: Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 1.11 per cent to Rs276.70 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded lower by Rs3.10 or 1.11 per cent at Rs276.70 per kg in 691 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on trimmed positions
Aluminium prices on Tuesday slipped 45 paise to Rs262.50 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March fell 45 paise or 0.17 per cent to Rs262.50 per kg in 1,101 lots.
Copper futures hit all-time low amid weak demand
Copper futures on Tuesday tumbled to an all-time low of Rs905.75 per kilogram, as weak demand and subdued market sentiment weighed on prices. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts recorded for April delivery eased Rs2.05 or 0.23 per cent to RsRs 905.75 per kg in a business turnover of 3,619 lots.
