Copper futures fell 0.14 per cent to Rs 863.10 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On MCX, copper contracts for March delivery eased by Rs1.20 or 0.14 per cent to Rs863.10 per kg in a business turnover of 5,636 lots.

Aluminium futures fall on low demand

Aluminium prices fell 45 paise to Rs257.65 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in March fell 45 paise or 0.17 per cent to Rs257.65 per kg in 2,899 lots.
