Commodity Watch: Futures Turn Sluggish On Tepid Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Wednesday fell 0.02 per cent to Rs822.35 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for December delivery eased by 20 paise or 0.02 per cent to Rs822.35 per kg in a business turnover of 8,309 lots. Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose 40 paise to Rs244.20 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in December increased by 40 paise or 0.16 per cent to Rs244.20 per kg in 3,450 lots.
