New Delhi: Copper futures on Friday rose marginally by 0.32 per cent to Rs802.75 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for January delivery climbed Rs2.60 or 0.32 per cent to Rs802.75 per kg in a business turnover of 5,999 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose 60 paise to Rs238.35 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in January increased 60 paise or 0.25 per cent to Rs238.35 per kg in 2,770 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
