Firm Spot Demand Keeps Copper Futures In Green
New Delhi: Copper futures on Thursday rose 1.4 per cent to Rs 837.90 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for November delivery increased by Rs11.55 or 1.4 per cent to Rs837.90 per kg in a business turnover of 8,316 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices increased Rs2.35 to Rs243 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in December rose Rs2.35 or 0.98 per cent to Rs243 per kg in 1,111 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
