New Delhi: Copper futures on Thursday fell 0.11 per cent to Rs867.75 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for July delivery eased by 95 paise or 0.11 per cent to Rs867.75 per kg in a business turnover of 7,004 lots. Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for July delivery increased 70 paise or 0.31 per cent to Rs229.65 per kg in a business turnover of 3,806 lots.
