New Delhi: Copper futures on Tuesday rose 0.48 per cent to Rs856.80 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for November delivery increased by Rs4.10 or 0.48 per cent to Rs856.80 per kg in a business turnover of 7,886 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices increased 80 paise to Rs241.70 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in November rose 80 paise or 0.33 per cent to Rs241.70 per kg in 3,623 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
