Copper Futures Gain On Renewed Spot Demand
New Delhi: Copper prices on Wednesday rose Rs3.10 to Rs820.25 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for delivery in October traded higher Rs3.10 or 0.38 per cent at Rs820.25 per kg in a business turnover of 7,867 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices increased 85 paise to Rs240.35 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in October advanced 85 paise or 0.35 per cent to Rs240.35 per kg in 1,267 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
