Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Spot Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures on Monday rose marginally by Rs 2.45 to Rs 904.20 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery rose by Rs 2 .45 or 0.27 per cent to Rs 904.20 per kg in a business turnover of 3,063 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Monday rose 55 paise to Rs 263.60 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in April increased 55 paise or 0.21 per cent to Rs 263.60 per kg in 1,018 lots.
Zinc futures climb on increased participation
Zinc prices on Monday inched up 50 paise to Rs 281.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded marginally higher by Rs 50 paise or 0.18 per cent at Rs 281.50 per kg with a business turnover of 603 lots.
