Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures on Thursday rose 0.25 per cent to Rs868.15 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery climbed Rs2.15 or 0.25 per cent to Rs868.15 per kg in a business turnover of 2,341 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Thursday rose 75 paise to Rs256.15 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March increased 75 paise or 0.29 per cent to Rs256.15 per kg in 381 lots.
Zinc futures rise on high demand
Zinc futures rose 85 paise to Rs272.65 per kilogram amid a pick-up in spot demand. On MCX, zinc contracts for March delivery traded higher by 85 paise or 0.31 per cent at Rs272.65 per kg with a business turnover of 716 lots.
