Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Friday rose 0.28 per cent to Rs 809.30 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for January deliv-ery climbed Rs 2.25 or 0.28 per cent to Rs 809.30 per kg in a business turnover of 8,298 lots. An-alysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Friday rose 25 paise to Rs 241.65 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Com-modity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in January increased 25 paise or 0.1 per cent to Rs 241.65 per kg in 3,245 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
