Copper Futures Gain On Higher Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Monday rose 0.59 per cent to Rs852.80 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for November delivery increased by Rs5 or 0.59 per cent to Rs852.80 per kg in a business turnover of 7,316 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures fall on weak trend
Aluminium prices on Monday slipped Rs1.40 to Rs240.15 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in November fell Rs1.40 or 0.58 per cent to Rs240.15 per kg in 3,551 lots. Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
