Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Further Fall On Easing Speculation
New Delhi: Copper futures on Tuesday fell 0.32 per cent to Rs815.60 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On Multi Commodity Ex-change (MCX), copper contracts for December delivery eased by Rs2.60 or 0.32 per cent to Rs815.60 per kg in a business turnover of 8,096 lots. Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
Aluminium futures fall on low demand
Aluminium prices slipped Rs1.25 to Rs240.50 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in December fell Rs 1.25 or 0.52 per cent to Rs 240.50 per kg in 1,911 lots. Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept alu-minium prices lower.
