New Delhi: Copper futures on Wednesday fell 0.23 per cent to Rs869.15 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery eased by Rs2 or 0.23 per cent to Rs869.15 per kg in a business turnover of 3,847 lots. Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.

Aluminium futures fall on trimmed positions

Aluminium prices on Wednesday slipped 85 paise to Rs259.50 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March fell 85 paise or 0.33 per cent to Rs259.50 per kg in 2,459 lots.

Zinc futures decline on weak trend

Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 0.35 per cent to Rs271.60 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded 95 paise or 0.35 per cent lower at Rs271.60 per kg in 924 lots.
