Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Continue To Rise Amid Higher Spot Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Wednesday rose 0.04 per cent to Rs844.80 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for November delivery increased by 30 paise or 0.04 per cent to Rs844.80 per kg in a business turnover of 5,500 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices increased Rs1.75 to Rs243.85 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in November rose Rs1.75 or 0.72 per cent to Rs243.85 per kg in 2,150 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
