Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Climb On Spot Demand

New Delhi: Copper prices on Wednesday rose 0.45 per cent to Rs805.50 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in May increased Rs3.60 or 0.45 per cent to Rs805.50 per kg in 2,268 lots.
Zinc futures rise on high demand
Zinc prices on Wednesday marginally rose by 5 paise to Rs247.05 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher by 5 paise or 0.02 per cent at Rs247.05 per kg with a business turnover of 911 lots.
Aluminium futures gain on fresh positions
Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose 70 paise to Rs230.75 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May increased 70 paise or 0.3 per cent to Rs230.75 per kg in 1,770 lots.
