On Saturday, Kash patel an Indian-origin leader took the oath to become the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), based on the Hindu holy book Bhagavad Gita.

Patel addressed the crowd after his swearing-in and highlighted the fact that a first generation Indian would be leading the FBI. He declared this achievement to be proof of the "American Dream" still being alive and well.

Patel, who is proud of his roots, said: "I live the American Dream, and anyone that thinks it's dead should look here."

You're speaking to an Indian of first generation who is about lead the largest nation on Earth in law enforcement. This can't be happening anywhere else... He added, "I promise there will be accountability both within and outside the FBI director."

Patel was also praised by US President Donald Trump, who called him "the best ever at that post".

"I love Kash Patel and wanted him to be in because I respect him. He will be remembered as the greatest ever in that position. It turned out that he was easy to approve. He is a strong and tough guy. Trey Gowdy made a statement that was incredible and stated that Kash is a wonderful person. There was no doubt when he said it. It was a bold statement from someone who is well respected and on the moderate side ..," Trump.

"@FBIDirectorKash was officially sworn in by @AGPamBondi as Director of the FBI. It's high time that we restore justice and integrity to the FBI. Make America Safe Again! The White House posted a message on X.

The Senate voted in favor of the 44-year old Republican on Friday, 51 to 49.
