“Donald Trump has reportedly increased his security detail at Mar-a-Lago with the addition of a robotic dog patrolling the estate,” wrote X user Collin Rugg. The robotic canine is equipped with “surveillance technology,” Rugg added, citing information from Reuters that the dog was seen outside Trump’s home following his historic election win.
The video, now widely shared, shows the robotic dog moving steadily across the lawn without changing pace.
A spokesperson for the United States Secret Service confirmed to the New York Post that the robotic dogs are part of their security apparatus. “Safeguarding the President-elect is a top priority,” the spokesperson said. “While we cannot disclose specific capabilities, the robotic dogs are equipped with advanced sensors and surveillance technology to support our protective operations.”
Mar-a-Lago, located in Palm Beach, Florida, serves as a central hub for Trump’s personal and political activities. The presence of the robotic dog underscores the high-tech security protocols at the estate, though it remains unclear how long these robotic canines have been part of the security detail.
