In a significant crackdown on illegal immigration, U.S. authorities have arrested 538 illegal migrants and deported hundreds using military aircraft, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed. This operation, described as one of the largest of its kind, was launched just three days after President Donald Trump’s administration took office.

In an official statement, Ms. Leavitt highlighted the scale of the operation, emphasizing its focus on individuals with criminal records. “The Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and individuals convicted of sex crimes against minors,” she stated. “Hundreds of these criminals have been deported via military aircraft as part of the largest deportation operation in history. Promises made. Promises kept.”

The White House also released details of some arrests, underscoring the crimes committed by those detained. The charges include rape, sexual misconduct with minors, and continuous sexual abuse of children under the age of 14.

Executive Orders and Legislative Support

This operation follows President Trump’s signing of several executive orders, including one titled “Protecting the American People Against Invasion.” According to the order, the past four years have seen an unprecedented influx of illegal immigrants entering the United States, either crossing borders unlawfully or arriving on commercial flights.

The order claims that many of these individuals pose significant threats to national security and public safety, committing serious crimes that have affected innocent Americans.

Additionally, on January 23, Congress approved the GOP-led Laken Riley Act, which facilitates the detention and deportation of undocumented migrants involved in criminal activities.

Securing Borders

The Trump administration has pledged to prioritize border security and enforce federal immigration laws more rigorously. This latest operation is being hailed as a decisive step toward fulfilling campaign promises to curb illegal immigration and protect American communities.

The White House indicated that more such measures are expected in the coming weeks, signaling an aggressive stance on immigration enforcement under the new administration.
