Trump tells death row inmates pardoned by Biden to ‘Go to Hell’ in Christmas message
President-elect Donald Trump had harsh words for death row inmates whose sentences were recently commuted by President Joe Biden. In a fiery Christmas Day rant on Truth Social, Trump told the inmates to “go to hell.” This comes after Biden's unexpected decision to commute the sentences of 37 out of the 40 men on federal death row.
Trump’s social media tirade spanned two posts, where he also took aim at President Biden, referring to him as “Sleepy Joe,” and criticized the Democrats, calling them “radical left lunatics.”
“To the 37 most violent criminals, who killed, raped, and plundered like virtually no one before them, but were just given, incredibly, a pardon by Sleepy Joe Biden. I refuse to wish a Merry Christmas to those lucky ‘souls’ but, instead, will say, GO TO HELL!” Trump wrote.
This move by Biden, which included clemency for five child killers and several mass murderers, has sparked significant controversy. Trump used the opportunity to further his criticism of the current administration.
While extending Christmas wishes to the Democrats, Trump accused them of being “radical left lunatics who are constantly trying to obstruct our Court System and our Elections and are always going after the Great Citizens and Patriots of the United States but, in particular, their Political Opponent, ME.”
Trump’s comments came just weeks before he is set to assume office, as he vowed to “make America great again.” He ended his statement with a countdown, saying, “A bright light is now shining over the U.S.A. and, in 26 days, we will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. MERRY CHRISTMAS!”
