This New Year is going to be special and dynamic. Sydney is getting ready to bring in 2025 with the largest Sydney 2024 New Year's Eve fireworks yet. Expanded launch sites, brilliant effects, and amazing views of famous landmarks such the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge will abound in this year's Sydney New Year’s Eve celebrations.

New Year 2025 evening is set to be memorable for everyone. The evening starts with a family-friendly fireworks show scheduled at 9 PM. The Sydney Opera House's and city towers' brilliant display of pyrotechnics from the sails expresses Sydney's diversity and community pride and breaks through the 20-minute spectacle. The primary event, the midnight fireworks, promises a 12-minute extravaganza, including over 23,000 pyrotechnic shots, 13,000 aerial shells, and 40,000 ground-based effects.

Aerial pyrotechnic platforms will also be incorporated for the first time into the midnight display to form a magnificent showing over the water. The visuals will be the most dynamic to date, with 264 firing positions lighting up the Sydney Harbour Bridge (including 80 new western-side positions).

The fireworks will be spread across seven kilometers of Sydney Harbour, from Cockatoo Island to Point Piper. The eight platforms will be water-based and launch more than 11,000 aerial shells to fill the harbor from all angles with light. Behind this massive production is a family-owned business, Foti International Fireworks, which has produced Sydney's signature pyrotechnics shows for over 28 years. This year, they've spent 4,500 hours planning and sequencing the show, adding effects, and obsessing over every detail.

Sydney's New Year's Eve fireworks in 2024 will keep the city's tradition of setting international benchmarks for New Year's Eve celebrations. Whether you're watching in person or at home, the show should be one to remember. Innovative pyrotechnics, extended perspectives, and the splendor of the harbor will again hold international audiences on New Year's Eve Fireworks Sydney.
