Finally, after a prolonged nine-month stay at the Internation Space Station, astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore returned to Earth.
At 3:30 AM IST, NASA astronauts Nick Hague, Butch Wilmore, Sunita Williams, and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov return to mother earth, splashing down at Florida's coast.
Welcoming Sunita William upon her return to Earth after spending 286 days aboard the International Space Station, Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned a heartfelt note to her. Furthermore, in the letter, he also invited Sunita Williams to visit India.
Taking to X, PM Modi also welcomed Crew-9 back, which carried Sunita Williams and her colleague Butch Wilmore aboard a SpaceX capsule.
"Welcome back, #Crew9! The Earth missed you. Theirs has been a test of grit, courage and the boundless human spirit. Sunita Williams and the #Crew9 astronauts have once again shown us what perseverance truly means. Their unwavering determination in the face of the vast unknown will forever inspire millions.
