SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, successfully launched 23 Starlink internet satellites on Monday from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, using the Falcon 9 rocket. Among these, 12 satellites are equipped with new direct-to-smartphone technology, marking a significant upgrade to the Starlink network.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), SpaceX shared, “Falcon 9 lifts off from pad 40 in Florida, delivering 23 @Starlink satellites to the constellation.”

The Growing Starlink Network

Starlink, a satellite-based internet service developed by SpaceX, is rapidly becoming the largest satellite constellation ever built. As part of its expansion efforts, nearly 70% of SpaceX’s 115 Falcon 9 launches in 2024 are dedicated to increasing the size of this global network. This ambitious pace of deployment underscores SpaceX’s commitment to providing high-speed internet to even the most remote and underserved regions of the world.

By maintaining this relentless launch schedule, SpaceX is pushing the boundaries of satellite technology, striving to bridge the digital divide and revolutionize global connectivity.
