PM Modi Likely To Visit White House In February: Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump said that Prime Minister Modi would probably be visiting the White House for a meeting with him in February.

“I had a long talk with him this morning (Monday). He is going to be coming to the White House over the next month, probably in February. We have a very good relationship with India,” said US President Trump.

Trump also said PM Modi “will do what’s right" when it comes to taking back Indian immigrants who came to the US illegally. This came after a report last week claimed India has agreed to take back some 18,000 Indian immigrants living illegally in the US.

This comes after the two leaders spoke on the phone for the first time since Trump began his second term as President of the United States. During the conversation, both presidents highlighted bilateral relations between the world's two largest democracies, emphasizing their shared commitment to working together for global peace and stability.

During the early morning call, both leaders have discussed various things that include regional issues, including security in the Indo-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe. In fact, the leaders discussed Prime Minister Modi's planned visit to the White House, highlighting the strength of the two countries' friendship and strategic connections.
