Pete Hegseth Allegedly Discussed Yemen War Plans with Relatives, Report Reveals

US News: Pete Hegseth Secretary of Defense sent details about impending military strikes on Yemen through a private Signal chat leak with his wife and brother and personal lawyer on March 15 before US strikes occurred.
The Signal group chat established by national security adviser Mike Waltz became public knowledge when Jeffrey Goldberg of the Atlantic revealed last month that he was accidentally included in the group which involved President Donald Trump's top national security officials and where Hegseth shared important attack details.
The Pete Hegseth text allegedly circulated details of the attack which The Atlantic magazine exposed last month. The New York Times reported that four sources familiar with the message group revealed the second chat contained details about F/A-18 Hornets flight schedules targeting Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The second chat, established by Hegseth himself in January, did not include The Atlantic because Waltz mistakenly added them to the first group and instead connected his wife with around twelve other personal and professional acquaintances. The NYT report indicated that "Defense | Team Huddle" was managed through his private phone instead of his government device.
The discovery of a second Signal chat where Hegseth revealed highly sensitive military information contributes to ongoing developments that question his management practices and judgment. Multiple top secret plan disclosures by a Trump team member will intensify existing criticism about the former Fox weekend anchor's ability to run the Pentagon which operates worldwide in life and death situations.
New details emerged about Signal's use for classified information when Pentagon officials escorted Dan Caldwell, a top adviser to Hegseth, from their premises after his identification during a Department of Defence leak investigation according to a US official who spoke to Reuters.
