OpenAI's ChatGPT Search Engine Now Free for All | Advanced Features Unveiled
ChatGPT Search Engine | Internet Desk: OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT, has introduced this search engine to challenge Google’s monopoly in the search market. At a recent event, it was announced that this facility, which was previously available only to paid users, is now free for everyone. This means that anyone can now use the ChatGPT search engine without needing a subscription. Additional features and improvements have also been integrated into the search engine.
ChatGPT has launched an optimized version that provides a better experience for users on smartphones and tablets. It has also recently introduced an advanced voice search mode feature, allowing users to ask questions and receive answers via voice commands. All logged-in ChatGPT users can use the search engine app and website for free.
At a recent OpenAI event, it was announced that real-time video and screen-sharing capabilities have been added to the voice search mode. Users can now solve complex math problems and receive feedback. To start a video session, simply click the video icon at the bottom left of the ChatGPT chat window. Screen sharing can be enabled through the three-dot menu. While this feature was initially introduced in May, it has now been further improved and re-released. Currently, only ChatGPT Teams, Plus, and Pro subscribers can access the video and screen-sharing features, which are supported on both Android and iPhone devices. These features will be extended to ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu subscribers starting in January.
Meanwhile, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Search in November this year. Previously, ChatGPT could only provide information stored in its database. However, with the new search engine, it can now fetch real-time information from the web. The search engine also supports follow-up questions for a more interactive and seamless user experience.
