NASA's Sunita Williams Breaks Silence on Frightened Weight Loss Video From Space
NASA's Astronaut Sunita William stranded on the International Space Station (ISS), broke the silence about her health rumour. In the latest video, Sunita talked about the significant change in her body that has raised concern and questions, putting people at ease.
In her recent video, she said, "My Thighs and Butts are a little bigger... we do a lot of squats."
She also explained that changes in her appearance were not related to major weight reduction but rather to a phenomenon known as 'fluid shift'.
In space, without gravity drawing fluids down, bodily fluids rise towards the face and upper torso. This tendency can make astronauts' faces significantly puffier and their limbs appear weaker and smaller.
William and her fellow are stuck in space and are predicted to stay in ISS until February 2025. They will return aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon, which has been found to be safer for the mission.
