Kim Soo-hyun’s Past Interview with Child Actress Kim Yoo-jung Resurfaces, Igniting New Debate

South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun is one of the business's most highly-paid and well-known stars has come under fire over allegations of a relationship with actor Kim Sae Ron. The accusations surfaced when Sae-ron's aunt posted an unsettling announcement on YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, alleging that the two had been together for six years that began in the year 2015. The debate became heated when it was reported Sae-ron had been just 15 that time whereas Kim Soo-hyun was 27 years old.

The ongoing Kim Soo Hyun controversy has led to an old interview with Okay to Not Be Okay actor Kim Soo-hyun has resurfaced on social media. The interview was recorded during a promo event for the film The Moon Embracing the Sun in December 2012 in Japan and Kim was with co-stars Han Ga-in and Kim Yoo-jung, a child actress. According to an article by The Korean newspaper TV Report, a particular statement made by Soo-hyun about 13-year-old Kim Yoo Jung during the event is now drawing huge attention online.

When asked the characteristics Yoo Jung looked like Soo Hyun, who was just 24 at the time told me, "I guess I previously believed that she was too young for her age. When I saw her in person I was impressed by her very confident and smart and I never felt as if she was a teenager. I am eager to watch her grow up and I'm sure I'll soon be able to meet her as a partner in a show."
