External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States on January 20. He has received a formal invitation from the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee to represent the Government of India at this significant event.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) noted, "On the invitation of the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America."
During his visit, Dr. Jaishankar is expected to engage in discussions with senior members of the upcoming U.S. administration. Additionally, he will have the opportunity to interact with various distinguished guests attending this landmark occasion.
