Israeli airstrikes on Friday killed 38 people in Gaza and three journalists in Lebanon.

This has raised concerns about shortages in Gaza and calls for a cease-fire.

The deaths were reported after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Israel had weakened Hamas and urged both sides to talk again.

In Lebanon, an airstrike hit a place where journalists were staying. Imran Khan from Al Jazeera said his team was safe, but many journalists were killed while resting.

Lebanese officials said the attack targeted journalists.

Since the fighting started, 11 journalists have been killed in Lebanon.

International groups have criticised these killings. Israel claims it does not target journalists on purpose.

The violence has led to over 42,000 Palestinian deaths, many of whom are civilians.

The Israeli military says it has killed over 17,000 militants, but has not provided evidence.

The situation is still tense, with airstrikes continuing in Gaza and Lebanon.
