US president Donald Trump has named five cryptocurrency he'd like to incorporate into an upcoming reserve for strategic government use.

So an executive order issued by the president in January regarding digital assets could result in an inventory of government tokens.

Here's what you be interested in knowing about tokens:

1) Ripple (XRP)

The cryptocurrency was developed by the US cryptocurrency company Ripple, XRP is at the moment the third largest cryptocurrency, having 140 billion tokens available and each token worth approximately $2.40 according to CoinGecko information.

2) Solana (SOL)

The Solana token also operates on a cryptocurrency with the same name. It is the same blockchain is utilized to launch meme coins like Trump's cryptocurrency. SOL has been ranked as the 6th largest cryptocurrency, with approximately $73 billion of coins currently in circulation.

3) Cardano (ADA)

ADA, which is based using the Cardano blockchain, was created in the year 2015 with the help of Charles Hoskinson who also co-founded the Ethereum blockchain project.

It's the eighth-largest cryptocurrency, having $31.4 billion of coins and was among the top gainers following Trump's announcement. It was briefly up more than 70 percent on the day of its announcement.

4) Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin is the first and biggest cryptocurrency that has $1.7 trillion of tokens that are in circulation, was established in 2009 by an unknown person who was identified as the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

5) Ether (ETH)

Ether is the name given to the Ethereum blockchain. It was established in 2013 and 2014 with Vitalik Buterin and others to be able to compete with bitcoin.

World Liberty Financial, a crypto-based company that Trump along with his brothers announced in the year before and his sons announced last year, have issued tokens of digital value on the Ethereum blockchain. The tokens have already sold for over $500 million, as per the report.
