The 3rd Test match between India and Australia has been heavily affected by rain, with only 13.2 overs bowled on Day 1. After rain caused an early suspension of play, Australia finished the day on 28-0, with Usman Khawaja unbeaten on 19 and Nathan McSweeney on four.

Rain continued throughout the day, and the umpires eventually called off play midway through the final session. To compensate for the lost time, play will begin 30 minutes earlier on Day 2, starting at 5:20 AM IST, provided the weather allows.

Leading up to the match, Brisbane experienced significant rainfall, although clear skies emerged on the eve of the game, giving hope for a full day’s play on Saturday. However, the forecast for Day 2 from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology predicts a likely return of rain.

The forecast suggests "partly cloudy" weather with a medium chance of showers, especially in the morning and afternoon. Light winds will become southeasterly, with speeds ranging from 15 to 25 km/h in the morning, then lightening in the evening. Additionally, a red alert has been issued, with a "minor flood warning" in place. The chance of rain on Sunday is over 50%.
