The International Cricket Council (ICC) has received another complaint on logistical issues after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) complained about their long drive to the stadium in New York for their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 games.

This is not the first time ICC have been embroiled in a logistical issue in the ongoing edition of the ICC T20 World Cup. The Sri Lankan cricket team had earlier complained, through their cricket board, about scheduling, which impacted the team’s training sessions and also their recovery routines.
Sri Lanka has been scheduled to play against South Africa in New York, Bangladesh in Dallas on June 8, Nepal in Florida on June 12 and the Netherlands in St. Lucia on June 17, making them travel to four different places in the group stage of the tournament. The logistical issues also included long drives from the hotel to the stadium.
However, since the issue with Sri Lanka was with respect to scheduling, the ICC could not arrive at a conclusion, given that changing schedules isn’t easy.
Since the issue related to the Pakistan cricket team is the location of the hotel, the ICC could find a replacement soon, which is just near Long Island in New York.
Pakistan is scheduled to play their group games in New York against India (June 9) and Canada (June 11). Pakistan is currently in Dallas and will travel to New York after playing their first match against the United States in Dallas on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team, who is playing three group games in New York, is staying in a hotel which is just about 10 minutes from the ground.
India won its first match against Ireland on Wednesday.
