Google Maps Rolls Out Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring
Google Maps has announced a new feature that enables users to check the real-time average air quality index within its map app.
Besides providing insights into air quality, the Maps app, which presently has over 2 billion active users, also provides advice and insights based on the severity of air pollution.
According to Google Maps, the Air Quality Index (AQI) is updated every hour, and users can access the air quality of any location in India. The feature will also be available in more than 100 countries from this week.
The upgrade arrives just in time for the winter when air quality concerns rise owing to increasing pollution and respiratory problems.
So, if you reside in a region with a poor and severe AQI, it is recommended that you get an air purifier.
