Tesla CEO and billionaire businessman Elon Musk splurged close to $250 Million in helping Trump win the US presidential elections, revealed the sources.
Musk spent close to $20 million in support of a super Political Action Committee (PAC), which was named after Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the late liberal Supreme Court justice. While donating a lion's share of his money towards America PAC, totalling about $75 million during the final weeks of the campaign, Musk also spent $40.5 million in swing states. After Trump’s assassination attempt, the world's richest man was seen heavily campaigning for the Republican nominee in Pennsylvania, widely seen as a hotbed of republican supporters.
A week after election day, Musk donated about $4 million to America PAC on Nov. 12. Since the election, Musk has been a regular visitor at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club in Florida. A lot of effort is also being put to trim the size of the federal government, while also suggesting various personnel choices.
Notably, Elon Musk is also assumed to have funded dark-money entities, which may never reveal about tech entrepreneur’s role in donations.
