Bluesky Introduces "Trending Topics" Feature to Discover Popular Conversations
Bluesky launches the "Trending Topics" feature in beta, allowing users to discover the top conversations and trends on the platform.

Bluesky, the social media platform that competes with X (formerly Twitter), has started testing a new feature called Trending Topics. This feature helps users discover the most popular conversations and trends happening on the platform, similar to features on other social media platforms like X.
The company announced the new feature with a festive message: "Merry Christmas from us to you. We launched Trending Topics today, and you can find it by tapping the search icon on the bottom bar of the app or the right sidebar on desktop."
Right now, the Trending Topics feature is in beta and is available in English. Users can easily view the top discussions and trends on Bluesky by tapping the search icon on the mobile app or using the sidebar on the desktop version.
Bluesky gives users control over this feature. If Trending Topics are distracting or irrelevant, users can turn them off. Also, any muted words or phrases will not appear in the Trending Topics list.
