Premier Vice-President PM Modi in France to serve as the co-chairperson of this year's AI Summit as well as be welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron at a welcome dinner on Monday.
In a blog post posted on X on Monday PM Modi declared "Delighted to meet my friend, President Macron in Paris." In the evening, PM Modi meets Emmanuel Macron who is also visiting France for the AI Summit.
PM Modi arrived in Paris to co-chair the AI Action Summit with President Macron in the first phase of his two-nation tour and then travel for the United States to meet President Donald Trump on 12-13 February.
In a blog post on X The Prime Minister's Office stated "PM @narendramodi interacts with President @EmmanuelMacron and USA @VP @JDVance in Paris."
PM Modi's trip of three days to France will see him co-chair the AI Summit in Paris, have discussions with French President Macron and will address business leaders.
PM Modi earlier had a meeting in the presence of Indian diaspora Paris and was greeted with a warm welcoming. Sharing photos of the event on Twitter, Modi wrote "A memorable welcoming visit to Paris! The frigid weather didn't stop people from joining the Indian community from expressing their appreciation for the evening. We are grateful to our Diaspora and proud of their achievements!"
In the event, PM Modi attended to a number of world leaders at this year's AI summit in France, including US Vice President JD Vance. It was the first time they had met between the two leaders since Vance became president in the month of October. In addition, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) also released photos showing the leaders having a conversation at the reception dinner.
