2025 Oscar Winners: Discover This Year’s Academy Award Champions

Conan O'Brien will host the Oscars for the first-time. The ceremony will close out an award season that was overshadowed in January by the Los Angeles Wildfires, which devastated the city.

The show started with a package of film clips paying tribute to LA and ended with the song "We Love LA". "Wicked's" Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and others then performed a chilling performance.

The organizers have saidthe event would continue despite the recovery of the region, even though the annual nominated luncheon has been cancelled and the deadline for nominations has been adjusted.

Netflix's musical/crime-drama hybrid "Emilia Perez", which stars Adrien Brody as a Holocaust survivor and architect, is leading the nominations with 13. With 10 nominations each, " Wicked", set in Oz, and " The Brutalist," starring Adrien Brody's role as a Holocaust survivor/architect and Holocaust survivor/survivor of the Holocaust, are next.
